Blog what you know. It’s good for Business.
Blogging gives you an opportunity to really flex your knowledge muscle. It’s not about flogging your wares; it’s about really demonstrating that you know what you are talking about, in your own way.
When I talk to clients about writing a blog or writing articles, they often tell me that they don’t think they could write articles; and that they would not know what to write about. But here’s the thing, write about what you know.
It is literally that simple. In this era of high technology and the access to vast amounts of information, you need to disseminate your business from your competitors. The way to do this effectively is not to simply sell but to show your level of expertise.
Think about this, don’t be the business that sells widgets, be the guy that knows everything about widgets. Not only will it show your level of expertise, but you will become a trusted source of information and really position yourself as the person to purchase that widget from! Now that is really good for business.
Let me give you an example; If you have a restaurant, create articles about new menus, functions, client experiences even special events that may be coming up. This is an opportunity to showcase your restaurant and really show your customers what they can expect and how fabulous you really are.
Remember, above all else, do what you do and do it well. And your customers will love you for it.
When you starting blogging, start with a plan. How will it work for your business?
What topics should you include?
Are there any questions that you are regularly asked? That may give you a great starting point.
So that’s the Dish.
